For Toppings:
- ¼ cup ranch dressing
- 2 tablespoons chopped green onions

Instructions
Step 1: Prepare the Fries
- Preheat oven to 425°F (220°C) or heat frying oil to 350°F (175°C).
- Cut potatoes into thin fries and soak in cold water for 30 minutes to remove excess starch.
- Pat dry, toss with vegetable oil and salt, and spread evenly on a baking sheet.
- Bake for 30-35 minutes, flipping halfway, or fry until golden and crispy.
Step 2: Make the Cajun Seasoning
- In a small bowl, combine smoked paprika, cayenne pepper, garlic powder, onion powder, and black pepper.
- Once the fries are cooked, toss them with the seasoning while still hot.
Step 3: Prepare the Cheese Sauce
- In a saucepan over medium heat, melt butter and add heavy cream.
- Stir in shredded cheddar cheese and Cajun seasoning, whisking continuously until smooth.
- Remove from heat and keep warm.
Step 4: Assemble the Fries
- Arrange the seasoned fries on a serving plate.
- Drizzle warm cheese sauce over the fries.
Step 5: Add the Finishing Touches
- Drizzle ranch dressing over the fries in a zig-zag pattern.
- Sprinkle with chopped green onions and extra Cajun seasoning.
- Serve immediately and enjoy!
Notes
- For extra crispiness, air-fry the potatoes at 400°F (200°C) for 15-20 minutes.
- Want more heat? Add extra cayenne or a dash of hot sauce to the cheese sauce.
- If using frozen fries, follow package instructions for baking or frying before adding toppings.
- Store leftovers in an airtight container for up to 2 days. Reheat in the oven for best texture.
